Meet Olivia

Olivia Riches Ambs is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who helps clients heal the mind, body, and nervous system by strengthening healthy neural pathways, restoring a felt sense of safety, and releasing survival-based patterns that no longer serve them. She integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, and somatic practices—such as breath, movement, and body awareness—to support healing not only through insight, but through felt experience.

Olivia has been seeing clients since 2010 and is licensed in the state of Florida (LMHC, MH14344). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Cognitive Science from the University of Central Florida, followed by a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College. She graduated with honors and was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate Counseling Student—an award voted on by both peers and faculty. When presenting the award, the program director remarked, “Caring is core to her being and one of the many qualities that makes her such an effective mental health counselor.”

Olivia specializes in working with adults (18+) who have a history of adverse life experiences or trauma, anxiety disorders, and relational concerns, including attachment wounds, family-of-origin dynamics, parenting challenges, and perinatal concerns. She also has training and experience supporting individuals navigating depression, grief and loss, life transitions, identity development, cultural concerns, and LGBTQ+ stressors.

At the heart of Olivia’s work is a deep respect for the understanding that you are the expert in your own life. Her role is to offer guidance, tools, and perspective while helping you strengthen your most grounded, resourced, and wise self. Together, the work focuses on reducing distress while expanding resilience, self-trust, and clarity.

Olivia offers a complimentary 15-minute consultation so you can determine whether this work feels like the right fit. She would be honored to support you in this process.
